What Does Premium Plus Cover?
Premium Plus provides up to 180 days of cover and protects a wider range of costs than our lower-tier policies such as our Essential cover and Premium cover.
With Premium Plus, you’re covered for:

- £1,000 Survey and Valuation Fees
- £350 Mortgage Lender Fees
- £350 Mortgage Broker Fees
- £300 Accommodation & Storage Costs
- Gazumping Protection (if the accepted offer is at least £1,000 higher than yours)

What am I covered for?
£2,000 Conveyancing Fees
Covers fees paid to your solicitor or licensed conveyancer, up to £2,000, if your purchase falls through as a result of one of the insured events outlined in the policy wording. This can include costs for searches, contract drafting, and reviewing legal documents that are often non-refundable if contracts are not exchanged.
£1,000 Survey and Valuation Fees
Protects the cost of surveys and lender valuations carried out during your purchase, up to the £1,000 limit. Whether you’ve arranged a Home Buyer Report, full building survey or mortgage valuation, this cover helps reimburse those upfront assessment costs if the transaction fails.
£350 Mortgage Lender Fees
Covers non-refundable fees charged by your mortgage lender, such as arrangement, booking or product fees up to £350. These are typically paid early in the mortgage process and may not be recoverable if your purchase falls through.
£350 Mortgage Broker Fees
Reimburses fees paid to a mortgage broker for arranging your mortgage, up to £350. If your broker has secured a mortgage offer on your behalf but the purchase does not proceed, this cover ensures you’re not left out of pocket for their services.
£300 Accommodation & Storage Costs
Provides up to £300 towards temporary accommodation or storage expenses if your purchase unexpectedly collapses and you need alternative arrangements. This can be particularly helpful if you’ve already vacated a rental property or scheduled removals.
Gazumping Protection
Offers protection if the seller accepts another offer that is at least £1,000 higher than yours after previously agreeing to sell to you. How Does Premium Plus Compare to Premium Property Protection?
Our Premium Property Protection policy offers essential cover for buyers who want a solid level of protection at a lower price point. However, Premium Plus increases the financial limits and broadens the cover, making it ideal for higher-value purchases or buyers who want maximum reassurance.
Both policies provide 180 days of cover, no excess to pay, VAT included on all covered fees, the same accommodation and storage protection, and gazumping protection.
However, Premium Plus provides:
- £500 more cover towards conveyancing fees
- £250 more protection towards survey and valuation costs
- £100 more cover towards mortgage lender fees
- £150 more protection towards mortgage broker fees
If your legal, survey, or mortgage costs are higher than average, or you simply want stronger financial protection, Premium Plus offers a larger safety net for a relatively small increase in price.

When Can You Buy?
To be eligible, the policy must be purchased before, or within 14 days of notifying your solicitor or mortgage lender of your purchase - whichever happens first. Buying early ensures you are protected from the very start of your transaction.
